The H.E.A.R.T. organization was founded in 2006 to assist with the ever increasing need for treating stray and abandoned animals in the Chula Vista area, and to promote positive, responsible animal welfare through adoption, spaying & neutering.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To assist in the health and welfare of animals of the City of Chula Vista and those of the City of Chula Vista Animal Shelter; to collaborate with other organizations to aid in animal welfare; and to promote responsible pet ownership in our community .

Our primary objective is improving the welfare of animals in the City of Chula Vista by: assisting the Chula Vista Animal Shelter in quality care of animals; sponsoring and promoting spay and neuter programs; increasing pet adoptions; decreasing euthanasia rates; promoting responsible pet ownership; and collaborating with other organizations to aid in animal welfare.
